I’m new at this. Seems I went straight from a web page to Twitter and didn’t stop at “blog” on the way.
What I hope to accomplish here is to stimulate thought about issues that are important to us all today. Chief among them is maintaining the wholeness and closeness of family. Redirecting our nation toward values that recognize personal worth and the importance of spirituality also is of great concern to me, as are more positive attitudes toward aging and “elderhood”.
Of course, the Storybook Quilts will feature prominently. They are all about family. The story-and-quilt pairing can help create and enrich the bonds that are formed when an adult reads to a child. The happy and warm memories that thus become part of both the story and the quilt will be accessible throughout life.
